For first-timers

Starting your journey.

No. We have members training at Entropy in their 60s and 70s. BJJ is called the gentle art for a reason. It rewards technique over strength, leverage over speed, and patience over aggression. Whether you're 18 or 80, you can train safely at your own pace.

Yes. Most of our members weren't in shape when they started. BJJ builds the fitness as you train, not before. You'll develop functional strength, mobility, and conditioning naturally over the first few months. There's no fitness prerequisite to begin.

No. We run dedicated Intro classes for absolute beginners, and our regular classes are taught with all levels in mind. The coaches break techniques down step by step. You'll be paired with patient training partners. Everyone at Entropy was a beginner once.

BJJ is one of the safest combat sports because it doesn't rely on striking. Most training is positional and technical. Live sparring is controlled, with tap-outs ending any submission attempt. Injuries happen less often than in running, football, or even yoga. We prioritize safety in every class.

For your free trial, wear athletic clothing you can move in. Shorts and a t-shirt or rash guard work fine. We provide a loaner Gi (uniform) if needed. Bring a water bottle. Once you decide to join, we'll help you get your own Gi.

Yes. Every program at Entropy offers a free trial class. No card, no commitment, no pressure. Come experience the academy, meet the coaches, and decide if it's right for you.

For parents

Kids programs at Entropy.

Our Little Champs program is built for ages 3 to 6, and our Junior BJJ program runs for ages 7 to 13. Each program is age-appropriate, with techniques, drills, and play structures designed for the developmental stage.

Yes. BJJ is one of the safest martial arts for children because there is no striking, no kicking, and no head trauma. Training is grappling-based, controlled, and supervised. Our coaches prioritize safety at every level, and our Little Champs and Junior BJJ classes are structured to match each age group's physical and emotional needs.

Discipline, respect, focus, and confidence. BJJ teaches kids how to handle pressure calmly, solve problems under stress, and respect their training partners. Many parents tell us their child's behaviour at school and home improves within weeks of starting. The mat shapes character, not just movement.

Yes. Many of our young members had never tried a martial art before joining. Coaches build confidence step by step. The first few classes focus on fundamentals, coordination, and getting comfortable on the mat. There's no pressure to be the best, only to show up and improve.

Yes. Families with multiple children training at Entropy receive special pricing. Message us with the number and ages of your kids and we'll put together a package that works for your family.

Yes, if they want to. Competition is optional, never required. For kids who want to test themselves, we have a structured competition pathway with dedicated training and coaching. Many of our young members compete locally, regionally, and internationally. For others, training stays purely for the love of it. Both paths are equally valued.

Training & classes

How training works at Entropy.

Gi training uses the traditional uniform with grips on the jacket, collar, and pants. It rewards technique and control. No-Gi training uses rash guards and shorts, with no fabric to grip. It's faster paced and more applicable to grappling and MMA. Most members train both. Each builds different skills.

Two to three classes per week is enough to build steady progress as a beginner. Most committed adult members train three to five times per week. Competitors often train daily. The right frequency depends on your goals, schedule, and recovery. Our memberships are built around these patterns.

Most classes are 60 to 90 minutes long and follow the same rhythm: warm-up, technique drilling, positional sparring, and live rolling. Coaches break down each technique step by step, then you practice with partners at increasing intensity. The structure builds skill safely.

We run early morning, afternoon, and evening classes seven days a week. Adults can train as early as 6:30 AM or as late as 9:00 PM depending on the day. Kids classes run in the afternoon and on weekends. See our full Schedule for all class times.

No. Competition is completely optional. For those who want to test themselves, we have dedicated Comp Training classes and a coaching pathway. For those who train purely for the practice, no one will ever push you to compete. Both paths are equally welcome at Entropy.

Yes. Private lessons are available for members and non-members. One-on-one coaching with a black belt, curated to your specific goals and game plan. Pricing starts from AED 500 + VAT per session.
